For accountants and CIS bureaux
You already know which of your construction clients will ruin your Friday. They are the ones whose hours arrive as a photograph of a paper sheet, or as a text saying "same as last week", or on the following Wednesday. You are not short of software. You are short of clean input, arriving on time, from firms who were never going to buy a timesheet system.
What we are offering, plainly
This is a term sheet rather than a sales page, so here is the whole of it in four lines.
- Free for your own staff. Your practice runs it at no charge, for as long as you are working with us.
- An export template built to your specification. You tell us the layout your payroll package wants and we build to it. To be clear, that template does not exist yet; it is built when a bureau asks for one, and yours can be the first.
- Early access to what is being built, and a say in the order it gets built in.
- No cash referral fee. Not an oversight. A fee would create something you have to disclose and would make the introduction about you rather than about your client’s Friday.
What we want in return is introductions to the clients you already know are struggling, and your honest reading of the export before we point anyone else at it.
What the product actually does
Workers clock in and out by WhatsApp message. The hours are worked out by code from those messages, a manager approves the week, and approved weeks come out as a CSV by week and by job. That is the whole of the part that touches you. The detail, including what the file holds, is on CIS and payroll hours, and the week we are trying to send you is described in what a CIS bureau needs from a week of timesheets.
It files nothing with HMRC. It does the arithmetic: the client records each subcontractor’s CIS status, and the deduction, a statement per subcontractor and a CSV laid out for the monthly return are worked out by code from approved hours. Verification and filing are not built, so nothing on this page or that one should be read as though they were.
And the file is of approved weeks only. A week is in it because a named manager read it and put their name to it, which means the first human to look at those numbers is not you.
What is still your work
Listed rather than glossed, because a partner who finds this out in month two is a partner we have wasted.
- Verifying subcontractors with HMRC.
- Checking and filing the monthly return.
- Everything about status: the product applies the status the client records and decides none of it.
- Anything the client has not approved, which by design never reaches the file at all.
- The layout, until a template is built for your package.
The honest summary is that this changes what arrives and when, and changes nothing about what you then do with it.
Why your clients will actually use it
Because there is nothing for the crew to install and nothing to log into. Every timesheet product your clients have tried died in the field rather than in the office, because it asked a man on a wet scaffold to open an app. This one is the WhatsApp already on the phone.
And because their gangs do not all read English. A worker writes in his own language and is understood, which is on multilingual crew. Messages going back out are written in English today, and we say so on that page too.
The things people ask
What does it cost my practice?
Nothing for your own staff. Your clients pay the standard fee for everyone on their team who uses it, managers and office staff included.
Is there a referral fee?
No, deliberately. A cash fee creates a disclosure obligation and makes the introduction about the fee rather than about the client.
Can you build our export layout?
Yes, to your specification. It is not built today, so a bureau that asks early gets the layout built around their package rather than around somebody else’s.
What it costs
Everyone using it counts, managers and office staff too. Cancel whenever you like.
